My job requires that I stay in perfect physical shape but living with Rheumatoid Arthritis is very unpredictable and sometimes I can't handle the conventional exercise of running, lifting weights and even yoga the help keep me fit. This compromising situation has had me seek other non-physical ways to stay fit and feel better at the same time. Although I absolutely love physical exercise, some days it is better that I take it easy and honor how my body feels. You can try these in conjunction with your regular routine or on your off days to help maintain your health and speed up recovery time from previous hard work outs. Looking outside the box to new and old practices to get into your optimum health.
Here are my top 5 favorite things to do outside your conventional work out.
1. Whole body vibration machine- The machine does all the work! You have the choice how hard you want it to be. Just 20 min on this machine is equal to an hour workout. Best of all, it is scientifically proven to increase circulation and build bone density! I love this machine, even on days where I just stand there, I can still feel my body getting firmer and more toned.
