TOP 5 QUESTIONS

Q1: Things to cure autoimmune disease?

Unfortunately, this is a journey that I have personally been on for most of my life. I choose to say "thriving" instead of "cured" because although I have had several moments of remission (no signs or symptoms of dis-ease) it has always been there lingering in the background. My journey was the inspiration behind my book, The Golden Secrets to Optimal Health because more than anything I have learned that even the same prognosis calls for individuality. Every person’s constitution is different and requires different resolve. In my book, I walk you through the steps to find out what is the best path to optimal health for you. That said, addressing underlying causes is always the best place to start. One thing that has helped me tremendously and that most conventional doctors will not tell you about is something called LDN (low-dose naltrexone). Unlike other treatments, LDN is non-toxic and works with your immune system, not against it, empowering your body to create its own therapeutic effects. It has been shown to help with numerous autoimmune conditions and even fertility issues. LDN benefits include:

  • Modulates the immune system
  • Increases endorphin levels up to 3x
  • Lowers markers of inflammation in the body
  • Reduces brain fog and fatigue
  • Clinical evidence in reducing chronic pain
  • Optimizes weight management

It has been used to treat autoimmune diseases and viral infections since 1985. You need a prescription to get LDN so I teamed up with the company that I have been using and got them to give you guys a discount + it's an easy process to see if LDN is right for you. They also have numerous other supplements that I highly recommend. Enter code "BEGOLDEN" at checkout to get $30 off your quarterly LDN prescription plan.

Q2: Is there a place where I can listen to all of your podcast interviews?

Yes! I created a Spotify list just for that. You can find all of them here. I will be adding more as I do them. I have a lot of exciting interviews coming out. Reply to this email and let me know if there are any shows you would love to hear me on!

Q3: How are certain oils healing?

Oils are one of mother nature’s greatest giftsIf I could only share one ultimate skin hack, it is to make oils your best friend. Many individuals fear oils thinking that oils will make them break out - this is what the beauty industry has told us for years... that drying your skin out will help you have clear skin, but actually, the opposite is true. If oily skin becomes dehydrated it will produce more oil to compensate & then cause breakouts. This is a vicious cycle. The goal is to remove excess oil without stripping the skin of its natural protective barrier. Simple chemistry teaches us that like dissolves like, so if you need to balance the oil in your skin, the very thing you are avoiding is the very thing that will heal you.

The bottom line: our skin needs oil to function properly. The top layers of our skin are oil-based & create a protective barrier to lock in hydration & help defend against bacteria & aging. Not all oils are created equal & each has its own strengths for various purposes, but in general, oils are able to penetrate deep into the layers of the skin, where it matters most. Oil helps keep the collagen & matrix of your skin supple & firm. Many oils are rich in omegas, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, & even Vitamin A - like my Youth Beauty Face Oil, which is formulated with 10 of the most nutrient-dense, organic oils & retinoic acid from rosehip, which gives you the same skin-smoothing benefits of synthetic retinol, without the toxic side effects & sun sensitivity.

Q4: What is your experience with infrared?

I naturally run cold & have always loved heat so my infrared sauna is one of my happiest places to be. But more than that it has been a huge part of my healing journey. It aids in mitochondrial support, detoxification, decreased inflammation & pain. It can increase collagen production, helps reduce cellulite, & help give you an overall sense of well-being. Sweating in general is so important to help facilitate detoxification & keep things moving smoothly. Add a healing full-spectrum infrared light & it’s one of the best health biohacks. In the infrared sauna, I have also had negative ions, earthing, & no EMFs. THIS is the one I have - it’s the most affordable, high-quality, portable sauna available. Q5: How do you start your mornings and end your day? We need your routine details!

I go through phases based on what my body & mind need & the season we are in. I prefer the word ritual over routine. To me, a routine is more of a robotic act that you do no matter what. A ritual is tuning in & asking yourself what you need & bringing mindfulness & intention into it. So even though I do have some consistency in my habits, I switch them up based on how I feel & what my body is craving each day.

Some general things I often do in the morning include oil pulling, red light therapy, meditation, coffee, sun therapy, inversions, rebounding & grounding. Two other things I love doing in the morning that help get me going is listening to Dr. Wayne Dyer & putting on music that puts me in a high vibe & encourages me to dance.

The end of the day is often when I spend more time on self-care. This is when I usually do my dry brushing, sauna, & gua sha rituals. I do feel these practices are best performed earlier in the day to allow the lymph the rest of the day to flush, but my schedule often has me doing it later in the day. These practices help me unwind & the benefits remain. Herbal tea making is another ritual of mine that I like to do after dinner. I also love walking after dinner & stretching in bed just before I go to sleep. The one thing I do, do every night is counting my blessings & pray that I am able to use my life for the highest good of all.
