Thank you to everyone who sent in their questions on Instagram — I love hearing from all of you and I wish I could answer every question. Answering five of the most asked below :)
FYI I will be doing this at the end of every month so make sure you’re following my personal account on Instagram @jessegolden and subscribe to my email list HERE so you don't miss your question potentially being answered!
Q1: Do you use face lotion or just the oils?
I only use my The Golden Secrets face oils, as there’s no need for anything else—as long as you apply and use them correctly.
The main difference between oils and creams or lotions is that oils are pure fats (lipids) and are used to lock in moisture, while creams are emulsions that contain both water and oil. Oils penetrate deeply, where it matters most, to nourish the skin, while creams hydrate by adding moisture and creating a protective barrier on the skin’s surface.
Skin needs both hydration and moisture, which is why I created the Dynamic Duo. You mist the face first with Aura Beauty Mist to add hydration, and while the skin is still damp, you apply the oil to lock everything in. This is a much more clean, potent, and effective way of treating your skin.

Q2: How do we find the tutorials for previously purchased items to review or reference?
There’s a QR code on the bottom of every box that you can scan for a ritual tutorial. If you’ve already recycled your packaging, you can head to our YouTube anytime — I’ve linked it below for you.
I’m also always creating new tutorials, which you can find saved in my highlights under TGS or Skin.

Q3: What inspired you to create The Golden Secrets / what motivates you?
Nature — and an inner drive that’s relentless. Anyone who knows me calls me a workaholic. I’m just so driven to share. It’s unexplainable.
I created my first TGS product over 30 years ago while I was in high school. I kept creating my own tinctures because I hated synthetic perfume (and anyone who wore it.)
As my modeling career continued to take off, I noticed that many of the other models using famous department store products had awful skin. Meanwhile, I was using all of my natural tinctures — things I’d make from ingredients I found at my little hippie health food store and essential oils I’d order from catalogs — and people were always complimenting my skin.
I never intended to share these golden secrets of mine. But after years of people literally asking me what my “golden secret” was, I finally decided to start sharing.

Q4: Why does my skincare stop working as well over time even when I’m using high-quality products?
Because skincare can only work on what it can actually reach. Even the cleanest, most potent formulas struggle to penetrate when the skin surface is congested with microscopic buildup. Dead skin cells, excess oil, pollution, mineral residue from water, and even leftover product can create an invisible barrier. Your skin might not look dirty, but it can be quietly blocked.
This is where gentle daily exfoliation changes everything.
The Celestial Sweep Facial Brush was designed to clear that surface layer without disrupting the skin barrier. Unlike harsh scrubs or aggressive tools, it uses ultra-soft, densely packed bristles to gently lift away buildup while stimulating circulation and lymphatic flow.
The result?
• Products absorb more effectively
• Skin looks brighter and smoother
• Congestion softens instead of being forced out
• Your glow returns without irritation
Think of it as preparing the soil before planting. You are not adding more actives. You are allowing what you already use to finally do its job.

Q5: Thoughts on peptides for RA? Any idea if you’ll try them post-BFing?
I’ve been pretty deep in the postpartum bubble, so peptides haven’t been high on my radar. That said, my RA is well managed and I genuinely feel good. I am curious about peptides—especially for longevity and skin health—but I’m also taking a cautious approach.
Peptides are powerful because they act as cellular signaling molecules, and that’s exactly why I think they deserve respect. We’re still learning a lot about long-term effects, dosing, and context, and right now they’re being talked about and used a bit too casually in some spaces. When you’re influencing cell behavior, you want to be certain you’re not sending the wrong signal.
My hope is that by the time I’m ready to explore them more deeply, the research will be clearer, the protocols more refined, and the noise dialed down in favor of evidence and discernment.
