TOP 5 QUESTIONS

Q1: What are some of your favorite food and drink products, and why?

Hydrogen Water - Highly antioxidant-rich water that reduces oxidative stress & inflammation in the body- two of the main causes of aging. Use code: BEGOLDEN to save.

Coffee! I love my coffee and only use Kion whole beans. I recommend getting whole beans and grinding them right before you brew to prevent oxidation. Kion is organic and mold-free. Click through for 20% off - code applied at checkout.

Carrot Juice - I drink carrot juice at least twice a week. Loaded with antioxidants, potassium & a type of carotenoid called beta-carotene that the body can convert into vitamin A. Carrot juice gives you a natural golden glow from within.

Bone Broth - Rich in collagen & fat-soluble nutrients, it heals the gut & supports skin, hair, nail, bone & dental health. Click through to automatically get 15% off.

Ramen - I love soups! There is no mistake that almost every culture has its own form of healing soup...chicken soup, miso soup, bortsch, etc. I load up as many veggies as I can, use bone broth, noodles, & if my husband is cooking a steak, which he often is, he will throw some in my soup for me.

Q2: Cocktail of Choice?

I don't drink much at all but if I had to choose I would say sake, skinny/spicy margarita with jalapeno & salt, or Angry Orchard Hard Cider.

However, if you are a regular wine drinker, I highly recommend Dry Farm Wines as they have the best, natural, organically grown wines - free of chemicals and additives found in most wines.

Q3: What do you recommend for acne breakouts on the back and chest?

I recommend a gentle ozonated soap like Pur03 in coconut, jojoba, or olive oil along with a traditional Japanese Body Scrub Towel, so that you can easily wash and exfoliate your back. When you get out of the shower, while your skin is still slightly damp apply the Heal All Oil to all areas. Always put a clean shirt on before bed and be sure to wash your sheets at least every other week.

Q4: What do you eat in a day?

I don't have a strict daily diet as I am an intuitive eater and give my body what it needs based on the season I am physiologically in and physically in. I talk more about this in my book but simply put, it's an honoring of your own cycles and mother nature's cycles. Eating seasonally for instance allows your body to better assimilate the foods and nutrients your body needs during that time of year. Winter calls for more hearty, grounded, nourishing foods. While summer might call for lighter, sweeter nourishment.

As we are in January right now, I will give you an example of what I eat on a typical day.

I have been craving the Vitamin C of oranges lately so I have been starting my day with a cup of fresh orange juice. I am a coffee drinker so I pretty much have at least one cup of coffee every morning. I use Kion coffee and add NativePath CollagenLive Pristine Shilajit, ghee, raw milk, organic maple syrup, and a dash of baking soda. I usually skip breakfast and have my biggest meal at lunch, which today was a big bowl of homemade hearty chili, topped with onions, raw cheese, and sour cream. For dinner, I had grass-fed lamb chops with mint jelly and brussels sprouts.

Q5: When I use oil on my face, I get a dry layer of skin that develops after a couple of days. Why?

This is usually due to the fact that chronically dry skin does not know how to hold onto oil and utilize it. I recommend a gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells using the Heal All Oil and a little bit of baking soda, followed by fully saturating the face with the Aura Beauty Mist and while the skin is still damp, apply the Youth Beauty Face Oil. I would intermittently reapply the Aura Beauty Mist throughout the day. Refrain from using harsh soaps or intensely active skincare that can further disrupt the delicate balance of your skin barrier. This is why I always say, if you are new to our organic oils there can be a transition phase as the integrity of your skin's barrier heals and pH levels balance out before unveiling your newly radiant skin.
