TOP 5 QUESTIONS

Q1: What are the best clean deodorant and sunscreen brands?

A1: I haven't used conventional deodorant in over 20 years. The only thing I use is my Tantra Body Powder, which is a natural way to neutralize odors while harmonizing the physical and spiritual body. I do not personally use sunscreen. I just use my natural oils which have a natural SPF factor that is adequate enough for me - specifically my Heal All Oil. I do get sunscreen for my son, who is an avid surfer and is in the sun a lot! I really like the brand, Manda. Its organic, mineral, non-nano, low PUFA and reef-safe sunscreens - five things to look for when buying sunscreen.

Q2: What is your stance on botox and fillers?

A2: For personal health reasons I have chosen to go the more natural route. Although, I have done both in the past, when I was still modeling full-time and felt like I needed it to maintain my job. But the more I’ve learned about what they actually are and do, the more I realize that all plastic surgery is just a bandaid and not a solution. The face will eventually go back to its natural shape. That is why no matter what you choose to do, it is always wise to use natural techniques like gua sha, my gold beauty tool and face yoga. These natural techniques are like a workout for your face and are what help to create long term results. Click HERE to do Face Yoga with me!

Botox for instance, is a neurotoxic protein produced by clostridium botulinum- a life-threatening type of food poisoning. It gives you that no wrinkle look because it causes flaccid paralysis to the nerves and muscles. This paralysis causes the muscles to atrophy and this atrophy actually makes your face fall more overtime, which means you will be needing to get your botox treatment more often, which can also cause your body to become immune to the neurotoxin itself. Regular botox treatment can also alter your skin cells resulting in deterioration of the skin with decreased elasticity, dark spots and lack of blood flow, which causes your skin to lose its natural luminosity.

On top of the natural skincare techniques listed above and my TGS skincare products, I also incorporate supplements that rival botox. My favorite one is Ageless AF, which I take 2x per day.

Q3: How do you choose to be happy all the time? Do you ever have bad days?

A3: Of course I have bad days and that in itself is the answer to your question. It's not that happy people don't have bad days, it's that they choose to be happy despite them. Happiness is a choice and it's something I choose every day. As humans, we are wired for the negative so just like you work out your body, you need to work out your brain and wire it for the positive. Every time you feel yourself down, sad or spiraling into a victim mentality, acknowledge it, see where those feelings are stemming from, release them and replace them with a positive emotion that serves your life better. This is the reason why I put positive affirmations with every product - to help instill the practice of positivity by using my products and your daily routine as the tool to do so.

Q4: What are five foods you eat every week for quality health?

A4: I go through phases, based on the season, what is locally growing and listening to my body's needs. Variety is key when it comes to getting adequate nutrients. The only common denominators in my weekly diet are:

Q5: How many times a week should you dry brush?

A5: You can dry brush every day if that feels good to you. With anything, listen to your own body’s cues. If you see your skin and body loving it then keep with it. I personally dry brush about 3x per week. I place a few drops of my detoxifying Goddess Shaping Body Oil onto my dry brush and brush from the limbs to my heart prior to sauna or/and shower.
