Q1: How do you clean your Dry Brush after putting oil on it?

Copper is naturally antibacterial so our Ionic Copper Dry Brush will remain cleaner than ordinary dry brushes. However, we still recommend that to get the most benefits and extend the life of your brush, you take good care of it.
  1. You can simply take a dry towel to the bristles or tap the brush with the bristles facing down to remove any excess skin particles.
  2. Fill a bowl with boiling water and dip the bristles into the bowl. Be mindful as you do not want to get the wood saturated as the water can weaken the wood. You can add liquid soap or a disinfectant essential oil like tea tree oil to the water if you like. Rinse with fresh water before laying to dry.
  3. Lastly, lay the brush bristles on a towel until it dries completely. You can also lay it in the sun to speed up this process or lay face up between washes. *We recommend replacing your brush after one year.

Q2: Is tretinoin/retinol really good for aging skin?

I've never used it and never will. There are so many other healthier options like our Youth Beauty Face Oil. EWG rates synthetic retinol a 9 out of 10 for toxicity. It states "Retinol is a potent form of synthetic vitamin A. Data from an FDA study indicate that retinoid ingredients may speed the development of skin tumors and lesions on sun exposure skin." Concerns are cancer and developmental and reproductive toxicity. Tretinoin, also called Retinol (Vitamin A), is synthetic, very strong, and toxic in any dosage.

I believe in not sacrificing your skin or your body's long-term health for short-term fixes. This is the main reason why I started TGS. Everything good can be found in nature and nature is more than enough. I've linked a blog post I wrote a few years ago if you are interested in learning more.

Q3: If you could tell your 20 year old self one thing, what would it be?

You are more than enough. I would also say, don't wait until xyz to start living at your highest calling. Say yes to more opportunities that light you up.

Q4: Can I get your products here in Mexico?

Yes! And we offer 20% off to all international customers to help offset any extra shipping costs. Please use code: INTERNATIONAL20

Q5: I love seeing how you use butter without any hesitation! What are the health benefits?

Of course! It's a superfood! Fake butter is what you should fear and steer clear of. Real butter is a healthy fat that is nutrient rich with vitamins A, D, E and K, as well as trace amounts of minerals like calcium and phosphorus.

Vitamin A is important for vision, immune function and skin health.

Vitamin D is important for bone health and immune function.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage.

Vitamin K is essential for blood clotting and bone health.
