Meet My Brother, Sean Golden

I am so excited for you to meet my brother, Sean Golden. I have asked him to be a contributor here at The Golden Secrets blog, as he is always sharing profound and innovative information about health and fitness with me, I want him to be able to share it with you! He is like a living and breathing 'google search' when it comes to health and fitness!

With a 4.0 GPA, degrees in Math and Physics with a passion for Health Science, Sean Golden of buildingaleanbody.com is a foremost authority when it comes to understanding research pertaining to health, fitness and nutrition. Sean is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist by the NSCA and is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Chiropractic Studies at Palmer in Florida. His main passion is in Fitness and Nutrition Research and spends time every single day updating himself on the latest research to make sure his advice is evidence-based and cutting-edge.

On a personal level, I couldn't be a more proud big sister. Even though we grew up in different households, we have always had similar passions regarding health and fitness. During one of the most trying times in both of our lives, we were able to come together and use all of our knowledge and love to help one of the most important people in our life, our Dad.

Our Dad crossed over last year after fighting a long battle with cancer. Cancer that continued to spread and eventually became terminal. Although our Dad was not always a cooperative patient, my brother relentlessly researched and found some of the best treatments and pain management options possible. Towards the end, our Dad became more open to our unconventional ways and we collaborated on a plan that we thought would create the best results. With the help and support of all of my siblings, my brother Sean's unwavering ability to stop looking for the "cure" and my Dad's courageous, positive mindset, the treatments started to work. Our Dad's quality of life became better and his pain lessened. This was our saving grace. Knowing that he wasn't hurting made the process a lot easier to accept.

Through every experience and challenge, we are handed an opportunity to learn and grow from it. I truly believe that this experience planted seeds that will continue to grow along with my brother's practice and he will be able to help so many people because of it.

For now, you will be the lucky ones! Stay tuned for his upcoming articles. For a sneak peak, check out his site here.
